I used to buy my son some picture books so it will stimulate his vision and will be aware in his environment and the objects around him. He just loves to read those books and he points those pictures he's familiar with. He already knows how the moon, stars, and the sun looks like even the objects like cars, ball, etc. He can also count but he's only familiar with the number 2. I just laugh about it and in the same time I feel happy about my kid becausehe easily learns from the books I bought for him.

My 9 month old son loves to read his Sesame street pillow books over and over, all day, most especially his Cookie Monster's Color Caper Book. I'm so glad that at such a young age, he's interested in all books that I read to him. He even grabs the magazines and newspapers that I read, and looks at all the letters and pictures :) I hope that he'll grow up like me :D who loves to read books than watch TV :)

My teener (13) is currently reading Elle Woods. She also likes Nancy Drew mysteries, and Philippine Ghost Stories. :) She has read some The Secret Garden, some Nance Drew books, Harry Potter, The Little Prince and Travels with Charlie. She has read a part of To Kill a Mockingbird but wasn't able to finish it. I sort of pushed her into reading this...it bored her :)

My 2 year old daughter can't read yet but she's fond of browsing her books. Her favorite are the books of her little touch leap pad because it tell stories to her just by pointing to the pictures.

My 9year old is right now into Archie comics (hehe), that's his daily read. Tried Harry Potter and Narnia a while back, but didn't really get into it as much as the other kids, maybe because I prematurely made him start reading it. He's also into Geronimo Stilton, which he began reading at 7.
